My name is Astghik Derdzyan, and I have worked in the service industry since the age of 17. While studying at Yerevan State University, I became captivated by the aromas, cultivation, and production of coffee. After obtaining my bachelor's degree in Roman and Germanic Philology, my interest shifted to wine, and I started working at Aperitivo wine bar, where I discovered the profession of sommelier and met an exceptional individual who guided me in acquiring knowledge about wine and viticulture.
I pursued a program in Oenology and Wine Business at EVN Wine Academy from 2016 to 2018. During my studies, my fascination with wine marketing and tourism deepened. Following graduation, I started my dream job at Karas Wines, one of Armenia's most renowned wineries.
In May 2021, I received a job offer from Amelia Wine; a Moscow-based importer with the largest portfolio of Armenian wines. There, I assumed the role of head of marketing. Since the beginning of 2023, I have positioned myself as an individual wine expert and specialist in wine tourism. Since 2020, I have been organizing private and corporate wine tours to Armenia, serving as a Personal Wine Guide at various wineries in the region. Moreover, I curate distinctive sets and collections for wine enthusiasts, professionals, and private collectors. Additionally, I host diverse events and conduct professional wine tastings at restaurants in Moscow.
